How to identify Class A, B, C, and C fire doors?

The appearance of different grades of fire doors is not very obvious and it is not easy to distinguish, but as engineering practitioners, we need to learn to judge.

There are three methods commonly used to distinguish fire door grades on site.

1. Check the acceptance data of fire doors

View the product inspection report, qualification certificate, production license, and electronic ID card of the fire door when the fire door leaves the factory. The material and the grade of the fire door are indicated above.

2. Check the nameplate of the fire door

Check the manufacturer's nameplate on the fire door frame. The name, address and contact information of the manufacturer are indicated on it, as well as the material and fire rating.

Three, measure the specifications of fire doors

In order to further confirm that the grade of the fire door is correct, it can also be verified by measuring the specifications of the fire door. The thickness of the steel grade A door frame is generally 12cm and the door leaf thickness is 5cm; the steel grade B door frame thickness is generally 11cm, and the door leaf thickness is 4.5cm; the steel grade C door frame thickness is generally 10cm, and the door leaf thickness is 4.2cm; The thickness of the wooden grade A door frame is generally 10cm and the door leaf thickness is 4.5-5.5cm; the wooden grade B door frame thickness is 10cm, and the door leaf thickness is 4-5cm; the wooden grade C door frame thickness is also 10cm, and the door leaf thickness is 4cm.

Where are Class A, B, C and Class 3 fire doors used?

As one of the measures of building fire separation, fire doors are usually used on firewalls, stairwell entrances and exits or tube well openings to prevent the spread and spread of smoke and fire.

1. Install Class A fire doors on the firewalls and fireproof components that need to be opened

2. Class B fire doors are installed in the evacuation stairs and front rooms

A smoke-proof front room should be set up from the fire compartment to the entrance of the refuge walkway. The use area of u200bu200bthe front room should not be less than 6.0 square meters. The door to the front room should be a Class A fire door. Use Class B fire doors. When a fire occurs, the fire door can block the spread of fire and smoke within a certain period of time to ensure personnel escape.

3. The vertical tube well is equipped with Class C fire doors

For vertical shafts such as cable wells, pipe wells, exhaust ducts, exhaust ducts, garbage ducts, etc., Class C fire doors need to be installed to prevent fire and smoke from spreading through the shaft or pipe well.

4. Important equipment rooms need to be equipped with corresponding levels of fire doors

Important equipment rooms need to be equipped with fire doors to protect equipment safety. Common equipment rooms include: transformer room (Class A), ventilation and air conditioning machine room (Class A), fire pump room (Class A), elevator machine room (Class A), generator room (Class A), oil storage room (Class A), fire control room (Class B), fire extinguishing equipment room (Class B).
